Before she dies from recently diagnosed terminal cancer, a mother must get to Mars to see her adopted son, who’s traveled there to give a kidney to the sick biological mother that he’s never met. The story, set in the coming decade during the early human colonization of Mars, is a combination of heartbreak, humor, bravery, and love.
